Bosnia and Herzegovina

Crossed some more boarders and again a first for all of us is BiH (easier to write). Beautiful landscapes, first town is called Grab (Grave in English) friendly bribe free police controls, and we take a lunch stop in Trebinje.

I don’t know what that says. Could say I love the Timberwolves for all I know.

Surprise surprise, it also has an old town. We eat at a restaurant where all the employees stop to play with Freya and give her a balloon.

I was so afraid of that balloon popping. It survived.
All in all, pretty little town, except…
Bookstore had interesting reading material. They put the author on the cover in case you didn’t know.

And off we go. Mountain curvy road and we make it to Stolac, to a little campsite on a river with a lot of waterfalls.

View from the restaurant above…
And the view from the restaurant below. Was better so we ate here.

With more waterfalls to come! Next morning we head out to the Kravica waterfalls. So few people there and walkable with a buggy! Great!

I like the huge tree on the lone island.
Freya wasn’t really impressed. Peakaboo with my shirt was waaaaay more interesting.

Then a little hop to the city of Mostar. Some streets lined with ridiculously massive and old trees. Apparently a city with a rich and torn history. But first, another indoor playground.

Only 2 babies playing yet multiple people sitting around and smoking in a children’s cafe.
Old town with tourist market
Slippery when wet

Then a Classic case of how to flag a taxi in Europe and back to the campsite we go. Next morning, back to the known. Overall, the food and people and views and landscapes and prices… everything fantastic in the BiH, definitely will come again!
