I will always cherish the offseason and live in fear of the main season. Feels like a post apocalypse zombie attack. The last few remaining humans, go on vacation.

This vacation is all about trying out these premium luxury campsites we avoided our entire lives but are now drawn too as they are perfect for Freya. They’re also very cheap offseason, even in competition with normal Croatian campgrounds.

First stop is in Porec (pronounced Porridge) at the Valamar. The only negative about these places is that when checking in, finding out what facilities are open, then you gotta walk a couple marathons to find a spot.

We got a spot in bat country. Lots of bats. Noisy buggers. They go at it all night. I was gonna catch one to take a bite out of it, but last time someone did that I ended up in Cusco for 14 weeks.

Even a sandy beach here. Don’t think I’ve ever seen that in Croatia. Tons of play areas for Freya too.

Great place. Spent a bunch of days there and can highly recommend for families, especially offseason, was cheap and easy.
Up next, a hop skip and jump to Captain Krk island. This time to the already known. Hopefully another empty adventure!
