Our first stop was a small fishing town called Hällevik where at the little museum they invited us to celebrate Sweden day with them tomorrow. Great!

Small little RV parking lot right by the dock right on the water. Did not think about wind or weather, after this experience I had it in plan.
Place had a nice soft sandy beach with a playground right on it. Alllllll for us.

Ate at a fish smokehouse, great meal for all. Then a cold windy rainy stormy night before our adventures the next morning!
I’m glad we were in the middle of nowhere for this holiday, because apparently that is where the celebrations are the biggest and best.

Freya got a checklist of activities!
Fake tattoo. Michelle just made a bracelet and check.
Find things at the museum. We found one the were told of the magic show. Check.

World’s worst magic show, check.
Popcorn and a hot dog. Check.
By this point the rain was coming in at hurricane force and completely from the side. Just earlier Michelle and I noticed we both forgot raincoats. Check.
At this point everyone was soaked and ice cold, just how Swedish day should be celebrated. Check.

But only Sweden day morning is done! Since the weather sucks we go to Växjö cause it has an indoor playground.
Crowded filled and loud so not a good one.

And then done with Växjö and off to some wild camping on apparently Helgö island.
Great spot but the weather kept us mostly indoors. We managed to get a hike in though which was very nice.

And that is the best way to end Sweden Day!
