The Albsteig: Castles and Beergardens

It’s German, so the Albstieg hiking path has to get its 3-character abbreviation, the HW1.

Our camping spot!

Funny only for me, the other day at work I was asked the differences between an American Easter and a German one. What a brain fart, despite 17+ years here I couldn’t remember a German Easter other than my Ritter Sport Easter with Mr Gudopp ages ago. And now I know why!

Good Friday Delicious!

Michelle and I have had a tradition of doing multi day hikes for Easter. Good times. The very first, on Good Friday (Karfreitag) we stopped at an American diner where biker gangs were ordering 10x patty burgers and ribs, Jesus approved (the Spezi story is another abailable on request)(the story of my sister Marcia not letting me get chicken fajitas on Good Friday is also available, comment now on this post for more info!).

Bavarian Churches are always a classic.

Our first day of hiking the HW1 we actually did the 2nd stage, not much to say about that.

Happy Radio Tower. How much for the house next to it?

There was a great beer garden in the middle of the hike. Was too busy drinking beer to take a photo. Just for us to enjoy!

But we ended the day at a smaller beer garden too!
