More Elba

So we didn’t take many pictures, ‘‘twas more of a relaxing holiday at the beach. Lots of swimming, fun on the canoe, and we’re on a boat.

You wouldn’t believe it

Boat was cheap! Great way to spend the day. Guy was great and friendly too, not a tourist trap.

There was a tiny little grotto that would have cost quite a lot to see, but we got a boat!

Separate of the pictures, we didn’t take any food pictures (finally) but there were some memorable dishes. I had a fish platter, but the fish was all sliced deli meat. Like, they put fish and other seafood compact into a giant fish tube and made slices. Pretty cool.

There was a pirate ship out there. I can’t believe they actually raised the sails. Lots of work. Would have enjoyed being on that one.

Otherwise it was just either way too hot, or the two days with “bad” weather which were just overcast but insanely humid, was too much to do a hike. We went maybe 2km and we’re soaked head to toe.

Out to the ole mine. Feel like I’m in a crappy western.

Frey’s Canoe was good fun (thanks Frey!). Obviously no pictures of us out on that thing, but we cruised around and during the last day there were big waves from the bad weather, tried to surf them in the canoe. Half successful. Canoe half full of water. Was a lot of fun.

Took the boat out to our own private beach. Having a boat is the way to do it!
Happy boater.
I’m a motor boating SOB.

The second to last beach the boat guy recommended us to stop at was FKK. It happens.

Some nice scenic dinner.
I don’t think any American would order that.
Fun with panorama!

Did the drive back in one shift. Went from 30 to 8 deg C just like that. Cold here, send me back!

Don’t know what’s next, but stay tuned!
