More of Montenegro

Plans will change 10 times a minute the next few days. A desire has always been to travel the Slavic inland’s, but it is still damn cold, campsites are few and far between, and what is open is still a question. Despite all that, we head a tiny tic inland and start at the Croatian capital of Podgorica.

Indoor playground with babysitter included. Great place for a coffee and to realize my socks needs to be changed and washed.
There was an Irish pub, but the München Bierhaus had food.

While at lunch, plans changed again and instead of going straight north to Biogradska (will save it for another trip), we have the Durmitor National Park as a goal.

Freya is sleeping so we ain’t walking to Ostrog Monastery. Drive by pictures.

Some campsite issues but we take an adventurous road and find a nice one on the lake.

Just wanna jump in!

Next day with some roads under construction, I asked why they don’t just close the roads. I’ll come to regret that later. We take a mountainous curvy road up to the Dormatir National Park. Awkward conversation at the camp about sleep, the place offered plenty of great views. Will be nice to come back with Freya in a backpack or hiking to do some of the great trails here.

Welcome Schnaps. When I sleep so little, I just feel empty and hollow.
Great forest trail. Do you think lack of sleep causes mental issues?
Very tranquil sea. Maybe my new girlfriend will help me sleep, but she has kids and is in holland.
Fantastic view. You also look like you are tired. I sense the vibe.

I recommended the guy watches Fight Club. We are out of propane so no more heat at nights. Not that I get any up in the pop top but still, gotta get back to the coast. The mountain road under construction that happens to be the ONLY road back, or go deeper in the mountains to Bosnia? Was closed. We wait it out, make the amateur move of taking Freya out of her seat after an hour of waiting which happened to be the exact second the street opened up. Luckily after the fit, she calms pretty quick and we drive through the construction to a fantastic restaurant on the other side. Celtics Knicks on TV, great food, Freya can crawl around everywhere and everyone is happy to see her. Constructions cause plans to change again so we head back to the bay of Kotor where surprisingly on this side, 2 lanes. How luxurious!

Beach bars are the best!
Michelle is pro at making already pretty scenes behind the camper even nicer.

Take a day off, and tomorrow, a new country!
